Roller Hockey Canada Announces New Name: Canadian Inline Hockey Federation

Canada Inline to become the public-facing national brand for the sport in Canada.

Roller Hockey Canada is proud to announce that it has officially received approval to change its corporate name to Canadian Inline Hockey Federation and will continue to operate publicly under the well-established international Canada Inline brand.

"This marks an important milestone in the continued growth and unification of inline hockey across Canada," said Dave Sehn, President of the Canadian Inline Hockey Federation. "Canada Inline has built a respected reputation both nationally and internationally, and this change better reflects our vision for the future while strengthening our brand on the world stage."

The federation will continue to develop and support athlete pathways through its Maple Nation programs while sending Canadian athletes and teams to major international events, including the Inline Hockey World Skate Championships.

As a federally incorporated not-for-profit organization, the Canadian Inline Hockey Federation is now focused on building long-term partnerships with corporate sponsors, community organizations, and government agencies to help grow the sport across Canada.

"Our goal is simple," Sehn added. "We want to provide leagues, volunteers, and communities with the tools, governance, insurance, registration systems, and national support they need to build successful, sustainable inline hockey programs in every community from coast to coast."

The federation is actively developing both community recreation and competitive programming designed to create the maximum impact model for members of all ages and in all skill levels.

"We are stronger together," said Nick Ruigrok, General Manager of Canada's Senior Women's National Team and Maple Nation Program Lead. "By working together nationally, we can create more opportunities for athletes, officials, coaches, volunteers, and communities than ever before."

The Canadian Inline Hockey Federation is also pleased to announce supplier partnerships with leading wheel manufacturers, including Konixx,Rinkster, and Labeda, helping provide members with access to some of the sport's most respected brands. More supplier partnerships will be announced soon.

The organization also wishes to recognize and thank many of the pioneers who helped steward the foundation of inline hockey in Canada, including Dave EasterBen Frank, and Meka Trepanier, and the many volunteers, organizers, officials, coaches, and athletes whose dedication has helped grow the sport over the past several decades.

"This is not the beginning of our story," Sehn said. "It is the next chapter. We are building upon the incredible work that has come before us while creating new opportunities for future generations of Canadian Inline hockey players."

Supporters can also look forward to the unveiling of a new visual identity, including updated branding, logo, and national team livery that will proudly represent the rebirth of Canada Inline as the federation leads the sport into an exciting new era both at home and internationally.

Together, we are building the future of Inline Hockey in Canada.
